D23 is a special time for Disney fans around the world as not only is D23 about looking forward to the new and exciting future of all things Disney, but also honouring the past and those who paved the way to create the magic of Disney that we all know and love today.
To kick off the D23 celebrations Disney and D23 will be hosting an ‘Epic’ opening ceremony with special performances from Disney On Broadway’s productions such as Aladdin, The Lion King, and Frozen as well as the Disney Legends Awards ceremony.
The event which will be hosted by Emmy Award winner Tamron Hall will see Disney legends both Infront of and behind the screen celebrated with Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Rob’t Coltrin, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Price “Bob” Foster, Jonathan Groff, Don Hahn, Josh Gad, Doris Hardoon, Idina Menzel, Chris Montan, Ellen Pompeo, and Tracee Ellis Ross inducted into the prestigious class which also includes the likes of George Lucas, Angela Lansbury and Robin Williams just to name a few.
